Deepika Padukone and Prabhas’ upcoming film ‘Project K’ is one of the most highly-awaited movies of 2024. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the action drama also stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani in key roles. Now as per the latest media reports, South superstar Kamal Haasan has been approached by the makers to play a crucial role in the film. Reportedly, he is offered a whopping Rs  150 crore to play a villain in ‘Project K’. Yes, you read that right!

As reported by India TV, the makers of the film have approached Kamal and offered him to pay Rs 150 crore to play an antagonist in Prabhas headlined project. However, a report in Hindustan Times dismissed the rumours claiming Rs 150 crore remuneration to Kamal and called it baseless. The report added that though the South actor has been approached by the makers of Project K, he is yet to sign the dotted line. A source from the film told the portal that Kamal has indeed been approached with the antagonist’s role but there is no truth to the reports claiming that Rs 150 crore has been offered to the veteran actor. “Talks have been initiated with Kamal sir. He hasn’t even confirmed anything yet. It’ll take another week or two for us to get more clarity on whether he’s accepted the offer or not,” the source was quoted as saying. Meanwhile, the upcoming science-fiction film Project K was announced in 2020 with a special video, which was released on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vyjayanthi Films, the producer of the movie.

The movie will hit the theatres on 12 January 2024.
